Basic little critters that can use Plasma Beam to quickly turn the Field Effect Black, making their attacks - and those of their accompanying Combats - more powerful. Take Paper Boys out with Green Innate moves before this happens. If you steal their item (or even just try and fail) they can use Paper Moon twice in a row, making them much more dangerous. Rather weak at first blush, though they can use their Paper Moon Tech to inflict an unhealthy amount of damage to one character. Avoid them if your team is already struggling otherwise use Green Innate Elements to bring them down. They have a lot of health, and their Beaten Earth attacks do a lot of damage. Check her cart for the Shellfish Custom Frame. She gets outclassed in terms of her wares very quickly by another vendor, but what she offers isn't bad for the beginning of the game. Touch the crystal to activate the elevator, then backtrack to the large room, take the first set of stairs on your right, and get on top of the elevator. Take a left in the next room and go up the stairs. Follow the path south and under a bridge to find a doorway. You'll emerge in a large room with an inactive elevator in the middle, out of reach. This short introductory area will make you familiar with the basics of combat, but provide little context as to what's going on.įort Dragonia is a pretty quick jaunt. You'll begin Chrono Cross with a party of three - Serge, Kid, and another, randomized person you can get later in the game - raiding the heavily-fortified Fort Dragonia.
